The ThanksGIVING 2010 Community Food Market opens today! Not sure what that means? Well ThanksGIVING is an annual event held around Thanksgiving time in SL to benefit various food related charities. This year for ThanksGIVING, along with the traditional thanksgiving dinner party and can drive, there will be a Community Food Market that will include a wide variety of items by creators around the grid that are for sale with a percentage of proceeds being given to the World Food Programme.

This year for ThanksGIVING, along with the traditional thanksgiving dinner party and can drive, there will be a Community Food Market (which opens on November 5th) that will include a wide variety of items by creators around the grid that are for sale with a percentage of proceeds being given to the World Food Programme.
Awesome Blossom is proud to be a part of this year’s ThanksGIVING 2010 event. My items for this event are for sale now at the Community Food Market or at the Awesome Blossom mainstore. Both the “Addicted to Chinese Takeout” Mouth Necklaces and “Tutti Frutti” mouth necklaces are available for 200L each with 25% of your purchase going towards the World Food Programme. Each necklace set includes 2 necklaces (stawberry and lemon with the Tutti Frutti Mouth Necklaces and a sushi roll and Chinese takeout box with the Addicted to Chinese Takeout mouth necklaces) and would make a cute way to help raise money and make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves, who are going hungry every day.

The United Nations World Food Programme aims save lives and protect livelihoods in emergencies, prepare for emergencies, restore and rebuild lives after emergencies, reduce chronic hunger and undernutrition everywhere and strengthen the capacity of countries to reduce hunger. It’s a never ending fight and one that YOU can help win.
